VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Junior AM Registration 

These individuals will Assist UGT team in greeting players and guests with a warm welcome. They will also check in players, confirm their information, and distribute event materials (pairings, scorecards, gifts etc.). Assist with waivers or necessary paperwork. Help UGT answer any general questions and direct participants to the appropriate locations (range, carts, restrooms, etc.). 

Driving Range Attendant 

This attendant will maintain the driving range, ensuring it is stocked with golf balls. Direct players to available hitting stations and to their starting tees to ensure an on time start. Keep the range area organized and clean. 

Water Rover 

Restock and distribute water throughout the course to ensure players stay hydrated. Monitor water stations and refill as needed. Check in with players to ensure they have access to water during their rounds. 

Snack Rover 

Distribute snacks to players and volunteers at designated areas. Monitor and restock snack stations as needed. Ensure all snacks remain properly stored and accessible. Assist players by offering quick, convenient snack options to keep them fueled. 

Shuttle Driver 

Safely transport players, coaches, and volunteers between designated areas (parking lot, clubhouse, practice areas, starting holes, etc.). Transport kids from driving range to the first tees or holes with long distances. 

Lunch Rover 

Assist with the distribution of lunches to players, volunteers, and staff. Ensure all players receive their meals in a timely manner. Keep the lunch area organized and stocked. Assist with clean-up and disposal of trash after lunch distribution. 

Standard Bearer 

Walk with a designated group and carry a scoreboard displaying each player's score. Update scores after each hole based on the walking scorer’s updates. Ensure scoreboard visibility for spectators and players. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while representing the event. 

Walking Scorer 

Walk with an assigned group and record each player's score after every hole. Verify scores with players and communicate updates to the scoring team. Ensure accurate tracking of scores and report any discrepancies. Provide a positive and professional presence on the course.
